The Orthelligent Knee App uses separately available motion sensors to measure movements in the lower limb. With our app, you as a patient and user can get more accurate information about how your recovery is progressing after knee injuries.
Under the guidance of the Orthelligent Knee App, you carry out simple movement tests, the results of which are documented and displayed. You, your therapist and/or your doctor are therefore able to draw conclusions about the development of certain motor skills (range of motion, coordination and speed/strength), the recovery progress and the effect of the therapy methods used.
These tests may be carried out at different points in time depending on the recovery progress. The tests break down as follows:
* Tests to determine and practice the range of movement: passive and active angle measurement
* Tests to check and improve coordination: angle reproduction and functional stability (standing on one leg)
* Tests to measure and train strength and speed: vertical jump and side hop
The app guides you through all of the tests and determines the results, which you can compare every day throughout the course of your recovery, allowing you to track your progress.
Compare the results from your injured leg with the corresponding values from the tests carried out on your healthy leg. This allows you to establish a so-called "fit index", which shows you how well your injured leg is performing compared to your healthy one.
Every time you complete a test, you can specify how severe the pain was and as a result better track how your recovery is progressing.
Numerous evaluations allow you to view and track the results of your tests and your pain over the course of your recovery. You are also able to print out a summary of your results for your doctor or therapist.
